Practice Areas – Real Estate Transactions and Corporate Law
Mr. Boulris concentrates his practice on acquisition, sale, and financing of commercial real estate and non-real estate assets, restructuring of distressed commercial loans, residential financing, commercial lease work, title work, curing of title defects, and preparation and issuance of title insurance.

Experience
Mr. Boulris represents sellers and purchasers of shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes, hotels, mining properties, agricultural and grove properties, warehouses, and development properties. He represented the purchaser of an office building in what was at that time the highest priced (per square foot) office transaction in Miami-Dade County, Florida, in over a decade. Mr. Boulris represented the seller in a 55,000-acre, $152,000,000 sale of a sugar cane plantation and mill, and related assets. He represented the developer of a marine shipping terminal, handling the real estate acquisition and the bulk cargo shipping contracts. He has represented sellers and developers of mining and water storage properties; these transactions were valued at several hundred million dollars. Mr. Boulris negotiates leases and handles leasing matters on behalf of shopping center, office building, medical office, industrial facility, and warehouse landlords and tenants. He has drafted master leases for major South Florida office buildings. His commercial loan work and restructuring experience includes new financing and workout of complex loans, the collateral for which includes industrial facilities, hotels, office buildings, shopping centers, and aircraft. Mr. Boulris writes title insurance through major, nationally recognized underwriters. He represents parties in the formation of business entities (including limited liability companies, corporations, and partnerships).

Mr. Boulris graduated from Harvard University (B.A. in Economics) in 1984, and the University of Miami School of Law (J.D., cum laude) in 1988, where he was a published member of the University of Miami Law Review. He is a member of the Florida Bar (the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section, and the Business Law Section). He has lectured for the Florida Bar on the topics of real estate contracts and the Bert J. Harris, Jr. Private Property Rights Protection Act, and for the American Law Institute-American Bar Association Committee on Continuing Legal Education on the topic of purchase agreements, settlement stipulations, and final judgments in public acquisitions of property.

Mr. Boulris is actively involved in the South Florida community. He was a four-year member of the Board of Directors of Westminster Christian School (Miami, Florida), serving as President from 2008 to 2010. Mr. Boulris is a member of the National Football League Alumni, serving as President of the South Florida Chapter from 2007 to the present; the chapter directs the NFL Alumni’s “Caring for Kids” charity program in South Florida, which helps abused, neglected, and physically and mentally impaired children. In January 2014, Mr. Boulris was elected to the Board of Directors of the Deering Estate Foundation, which directs efforts and resources to support the Deering Estate, a 450-acre environmental, archeological, historical, and architectural preserve located in southeast Miami-Dade County, Florida.
